Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Painter to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, ensuring a flawless appearance that meets industry standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primers, base coats, clear coats, and finishing layers using conventional spray guns and airless paint sprayers with precision and consistency
- Perform surface repairs including dent removal, welding, and auto body refinishing to restore vehicle integrity
- Operate power tools such as grinders, sanders, and buffing machines safely and effectively during the refinishing process
- Conduct auto restoration tasks by blending paints, polishing surfaces with automotive buffing techniques, and detailing vehicles for a showroom-quality finish
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols including respiratory protection measures
- Collaborate with team members on vehicle repairs, estimations, and customer service to ensure timely completion of projects
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair and painting
- Hands-on experience with welding, grinding, sanding, and automotive buffing techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto glass replacement
- Familiarity with automotive surface preparation, masking techniques, and coating spray guns
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, and airless paint spraying equipment
- Knowledge of automotive paints, finishes, and coating materials along with proper safety procedures including respiratory protection
- Experience in auto estimating or customer service within an automotive environment is a plus
