AV Sales Executive – Short-Term Rentals (Events & Projects)

Go Rentals, a leader in short-term tech rentals, is expanding our events division and seeking AV Sales Executives in Johannesburg and Cape Town. If you come from the AV/events industry, understand the fast-paced world of live events, and can confidently quote and spec AV gear for small to mid-sized activations, this is your opportunity.
What You’ll Do
Respond to inbound and proactive rental enquiries for short-term AV and tech gear
Quote, spec and upsell Audio Visual solutions (sound, lighting, staging, LED screens, laptops, projectors, etc.) for events, activations, conferences and exhibitions
Liaise with internal project teams to ensure smooth delivery, setup and strike
Conduct site inspections where required to scope requirements and plan layouts
Build strong relationships with agencies, venues, and corporate clients
Help drive growth in short-term rental revenue through customer-first sales execution
Stay updated on industry trends and recommend relevant rental tech
What You Bring
5+ years in AV/events industry, ideally in sales, quoting, or client-facing technical roles
Confident knowledge of AV setups (audio, staging, lighting, laptops, LED)
Ability to spec full solutions for a small to mid-sized event
Experience dealing with agencies, venues, and corporate clients
A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Other Requirements
Own reliable transport
Available for occasional site visits or after-hours quoting
Johannesburg or Durban-based
