About The Role
To ensure the availability of a fully functional Automated Teller Machine (ATM) service to customers including the custody and balancing of ATM cash, processing of ATM deposits and
handling of the ATM computer reports. Understand and manage the risks associated with the custody of ATMs through an effective system of controls, as well as maintain a high level of
integrity and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
ATM Cash Management & Replenishment
- Stock and top up ATM terminals with cash and stationery.
- Seal, control, and balance cash at required intervals.
- Reconcile ATM cash daily and process system entries accurately.
- Clear cash deposits, manage purge bins, and secure slips.
- Safeguard ATM cash against preventable losses at all times.
Technical Maintenance & Liaison
- Monitor terminals to identify and resolve potential equipment faults early.
- Liaise with the Control Centre to log and fix malfunctions promptly.
- Report any service disruptions or changes immediately.
Firearm Compliance & Safety
- Adhere strictly to company firearm and ammunition control instructions.
- Ensure company firearms are serviceable and undergo annual training.
- Comply with workplace health and safety policies and incident reporting.
- Participate actively in branch safety forums and training initiatives.
Requirements
- Matric (with Mathematics)
- PSIRA Grade C with CIT Qualification
- Firearm competency for handgun with business purposes
- Driver licence
- At least 2 years of experience operating and maintaining ATMs
- An ATM Custodian course certification
- Computer Literate
- No credit record
- No criminal record
- May not be a registered as a director of any company / business
