About The Sales Assistant Position
Our team is looking for an enthusiastic and customer service-oriented worker to join us as a Sales Assistant. As a Sales Assistant, you'll work with customers on the sales floor to ensure they have a fantastic shopping experience. From informing customers about different product options to completing transactions, you'll work with our clients from start to finish.
Sales Assistant Responsibilities
- Welcome customers as they enter
- Assist customers with any concerns or questions they have
- Inform customers of any current promotions and deals
- Keep informed of products the store carries and services the store offers
- Monitor inventory, restocking as needed
- Keep the sales floor organized and clean
- Encourage customers to buy products
- Hit [weekly/monthly/etc.] sales goals
- Operate cash registers and balance drawers
- Adhere to store policies and procedures
Sales Assistant Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- [1+] year previous retail sales experience preferred
- Superb customer service skills
- Friendly, energetic personality paired with a professional appearance
- Excellent multitasking skills in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Availability to work, nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Physically able to move around for two or more hours and lift [10+] pounds
- Basic math skills
