Assistant Manager (Remuneration and Benefits)
Our Client is in search of someone who will develop, maintain, communicate and manage remuneration and benefits strategy, policies, procedures and practices in order to support the Organization’s strategic objectives by enabling the business to attract and retain talented individuals whilst ensuring maximum benefit realization for the organization and continuously enhancing the Employee Value Proposition.
Duties
and Responsibilities (not limited to):
Formulation and Implementation of remuneration strategy, policies and procedures.
Facilitate and co-ordinate the job evaluations / gradings through the job evaluation committee to ensure internal and external equity.
Communicate and educate / train relevant stakeholders regarding job evaluation systems and practices.
Ensure that the Remuneration and Benefits spend is in line with relevant legislation.
Managing Human Resources.
Develop and implement Remuneration and Benefits Strategy and Operational Plan.
Performance manage Remuneration and Benefits Team.
Operational Support and Advice.
Support the Group HR Manager in preparing submissions to the Executive Committee, Social Ethics Committee and Remuneration Committee and Board of Directors.
Communicate changes in legislative policies and facilitate changes appropriate to Company.
Management of Payroll and maintenance of Human Resource Data Integrity and Reporting.
Maintain an effective and efficient relationship with external service providers by having up to date service level agreements in order to ensure improved total employee rewards of Company employees.
Manage payroll processes, administration of performance reviews, salary reviews and incentive schemes.
Qualifications:
Degree in Commerce / Human Sciences.
Postgraduate Degree in Commerce / Human Sciences with Statistics is preferred.
Registration with South African Rewards Association as a Remuneration Specialist and / or South African Board for People Practice is preferred.
Experience
Required:
8-10 years of experience in Remuneration and Rewards / Benefits management in a corporate environment.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory / managerial role.
Knowledge of all relevant employment and remuneration legislation and statutory requirements.
Knowledge of corporate HR reward systems, practices and structures.
Understanding of current Tax and Labour legislation including governance and risk principles.
Exposure in remuneration analyses, modelling and policy development.
Job evaluation system, preferably Paterson Grading System.
Advanced Excel, MS Office and MS Project.
