At Fred Meyer Clackamas Distribution Center, we are looking for a highly engaged Asset Protection (AP) officer to be part of our team. AP officers oversee 100 acres complex that stretches a mile in length, and encompasses two warehouses, transportation and a manufacturing plant. This site services Fred Meyer and QFC stores in Oregon, SW Washington and Idaho as well as other Kroger locations across the nation. Our warehouses consist of dry grocery, frozen foods, meat, deli, produce, general merchandise. We have our own transportation trucking department and a bakery plant on site. AP Officers patrol on foot and in vehicle along with an investigation post and a static post. This is a very dynamic position with a lot of opportunity.

Job Title: Distribution Center Asset Protection Specialist

Summary:
The primary purpose(s) of this position is to:
· To serve our business community by professionally assisting management in protection of our property and personnel.
Fred Meyer also requires that all employees perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned:
· Provide complete and accurate Records of all in-coming and out-going traffic in accordance with the Kroger Logistics Loss Prevention Manual and site specific Procedure Manuals
· Monitor pedestrian traffic
· Conducts Rover/Patrols of interior and exterior of DC in accordance with site specific Procedure Manuals
· Responds to emergencies in and around the Distribution Center
· Reports and documents all Policy/Safety violations
· Collects and records preliminary information needed for theft and accident investigations
· Conducts CCTV surveillance in accordance with site specific Procedure Manual
· Must be able to pass a site specific Proficiency exam within 90 days of employment

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals. Ability to write complete and accurate reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, Customers and the general public. Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form.
Computer Skills: Ability to perform basic computer operations using Word, Excel and site specific computer programs. Ability to send and receive e-mail using Microsoft Outlook.
