Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a growing Northern Michigan manufacturer to hire Assembly Technicians who will help build custom A.C. electric motors and air-moving assemblies used in a wide variety of industrial applications. Unlike repetitive assembly line work, each project is built to customer specifications, giving you the opportunity to learn new skills and tackle something different throughout the week.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this position, you’ll:
- Assemble custom electric motors and air-moving assemblies
- Operate production equipment and assist with machine operation
- Read work instructions, blueprints, and assembly documentation
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete assemblies
- Inspect completed products for quality, accuracy, and performance
- Assist with product testing and final assembly processes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support production needs across multiple assembly areas as needed
What We’re Looking For
Successful candidates typically have:
- Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn new skills
- Manufacturing, assembly, automotive, maintenance, or mechanical experience is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to remain active throughout the shift and perform hands-on work

This is a hands-on manufacturing position where you’ll spend your day assembling custom products, using hand and power tools, inspecting your work, and collaborating with a close-knit production team. The early morning schedule means you’ll finish your workday by mid-afternoon and enjoy every Friday off, giving you a three-day weekend every week.
