How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
An Artisan -Instrument Mechanician within the ALLISA organisation supports production by providing effective equipment maintenance and reliability while adhering to procedures/codes, and utilising all available support resources to increase stability and maintain sustainability of the plant.
Business and Financial. Demonstrate proven competence in pre-identified areas per the discipline of the plant/equipment/systems (proven competency in the application of training for an Artisan Grade 1). Execute critical tasks which are assessed and recorded by the assessor, e.g. Foreman, Trainer etc. Conduct quality equipment/plant inspections. Understand and use the plant maintenance documentation system as well as the planning work management system. Demonstrate relevant plant specific and basic process knowledge, as defined per discipline.
Technical and Safety. Ensure compliance of Safety Management Systems, (IMS, MBO, etc.) and is able to apply emergency procedures. Read, interpret and implement task risk assessments. Participate in Hazard identification and task Risk assessments and comply with statutory requirements as required.
Management. Coach and share knowledge with Junior Artisans in a known environment and context.

Are you a MATCH?
National Senior Certificate or N3 with Maths, Science & English
Qualified Artisan NQF level 4 (CHIETA/MQA preferred)
Relevant trade certification: Instrument Mechanician or Section 28 trade tested artisan, appointed after RPL completed
2 Years experience as an Artisan Instrument Mechanician Grade 2 (mandatory)
Completed trade generic and plant/area specific competency assessment
In possession of a Permit to work acceptance (as Recipient/Executor)
Completed basic Rigging (T5) and Scaffold user training
Completed behaviour based Safety Training (basic OHS Act Course)
