Responsibilities
- Application of company products and system information in solving technical inquiries and development of specifications.
- Lead development project specifics, specifications, systems literature, and installation methodology.
- Maintain, update, and develop BIM models and digital content for company products and systems in accordance with company standards and project requirements.
- Work cross-functionally with sales and customer service to meet customer requests.
- Stay abreast of the application, use, and installation of all company products and systems.
- Escalate potential risks and opportunities to management.
- Maintain and produce monthly KPI and performance reports.
- Understand the scope, principles, norms, standards, accountabilities and boundaries of contemporary architectural/building design practice.
- Liaise with building project design teams and professional consultants when required.
- Proactively identify new opportunities for enhancing specifications and systems’ competitive advantage.
- Provide technical support (calls, inquiries, architectural CAD drawings, specifications, etc.) to internal and external customers on the company’s products and systems.
- Apply architectural training, techniques, tools, know-how and resources to problem solving, specifications and task execution.
Why this role exists
Qualifications
- Minimum matric and tertiary qualification in Architecture or Building Technology.
- Three years of experience in an architectural technologist or technician role.
- Knowledge and application of National Building Regulations and Building Standards and relevant statutory requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
- At least five years’ experience in AutoCAD, Revit or Inventor.
Role focus and expectations
This role will focus on technical support to internal and external customers and maximize opportunities for company products and systems through specialist knowledge of building physics in line with company objectives and meeting contractual KPIs.
