Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized and presentable Appliances Specialist & Controller to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of high-end appliance packages across all client projects.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between design, procurement, logistics, and supplier management. You will serve as the internal product expert on luxury appliances, ensuring accurate quote preparation, rigorous project tracking, seamless delivery logistics, and strong relationships with elite supplier brands.
Key Responsibilities:
Quote Preparation & Specialist Advisory
- Quoting & Pricing: Prepare precise, comprehensive appliance quotes and proposals based on architectural drawings, designer specs, and client requests.
- Product Expertise: Act as the internal authority on premium appliance specifications, dimensions, power/plumbing requirements, and compatibility with custom cabinetry.
- Cost & Margin Control: Manage trade pricing, discounts, and client markups to ensure project profitability aligns with target margins.
Project & Order Management
- Project Tracking: Maintain up-to-date appliance schedules within our project management system for every active site.
- Order Processing: Place purchase orders, confirm lead times, and track fulfillment milestones from order placement through factory production.
- Change Orders: Handle specification revisions smoothly, ensuring all project team members and clients are aligned on cost and timeline implications.
Logistics & Delivery Coordination
- Delivery Scheduling: Coordinate site deliveries with warehouse teams, logistics partners, and site managers to match project timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect deliveries upon arrival or ensure site receipt protocols are followed to verify correct items and check for shipping damages.
- Issue Resolution: Swiftly address short shipments, backorders, or damaged goods directly with suppliers to keep projects on track.
Supplier Relations & Procurement
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key luxury appliance brands, distributors, and reps.
- Trade Negotiations: Secure competitive pricing, promotional rebates, and preferred lead-time slots.
- Product Catalog Maintenance: Keep internal product databases, spec libraries, and price sheets accurate and up to date.
Experience Required:
- Experience: 3+ years in appliance sales, procurement, luxury interior operations, or kitchen showroom management.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to read architectural floor plans, service drawings, and technical specification sheets.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in ERP/CRM tools, MS Excel (advanced), and project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, or industry-specific software).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for dealing with suppliers, high-end clients, and internal design teams.
- Organization: Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to balance multiple ongoing project schedules simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Prior exposure to luxury kitchen or appliance brands (e.g., Miele, Gaggenau, Sub-Zero & Wolf, Siemens, Neff).
- Background in custom joinery, cabinetry, or interior design projects.
