Skills and Experience
Role: Angular Frontend Developer
Experience in Role: 4+ years
Must-Have Skills:
1. Proficiency in Angular:
Strong understanding of Angular concepts like components, services, directives, pipes and modules.
Familiarity with the Angular CLI for project setup and management.
2. HTML/CSS:
Solid grasp of HTML 5 and CSS3 for structuring and styling applications.
Knowledge of responsive design principles to ensure applications work on various devices.
3. JavaScript/TypeScript:
Strong skills in JavaScript and TypeScript as Angular is built with TypeScript.
Understanding of ES6+ features.
4. State Management:
Experience with state management using RxJS or Signals for managing application state effectively.
5. RESTful API Integration:
Ability to consume RESTful APIs and manage data retrieval and submission.
6. Testing:
Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma for unit and integration testing of Angular applications.
7. Version Control:
Proficiency in using Git for version control and collaboration.
8. Basic UX/UI Principles:
Understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles to create intuitive applications.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
1. CSS Frameworks:
Familiarity with frameworks like Bootstrap, Material Design, or Tailwind CSS for styling.
2. Design Tools:
Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD can be beneficial for translating designs into code.
3. Performance Optimisation:
Knowledge of best practices for optimising Angular applications for performance.
4. Accessibility (a11y):
Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) to make applications usable for people with disabilities.
5. Progressive Web Applications (PWAs):
Knowledge of building PWAs using Angular for enhanced user experiences.
6. Microservices Architecture:
Familiarity with microservices architecture and how to interact with microservices from Angular applications.
7. Deployment and CI/CD:
Understanding of deployment processes and CI/CD tools (like Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for automated testing and deployment.
8. Community Involvement:
Participation in Angular communities or contributions to open-source projects can enhance skills and networking.

Location and Salary
Remote Policy: 100% remote, except for in-person workshops four times per annum including our year-end function.
Location of Position: South Africa
Employment Type: Permanent contract
Salary Range: R40,000 – R70,000 per month
