Description
Adherence Field Worker will work in clinic catchment areas supporting community members living with chronic illness by providing education, information, treatment support, appointment support, medication supervision, and preventative services. Peer educators will additionally provide psychosocial support to the client and, where appropriate, to the client’s family.
KEY PERFOMANCE AREA (KPAs)
Initiating Chronic Adherence clubs in facilities
Assisting in pharmacy functions of clubs
Conducting support/education group activities
Compilation of statistics
Ongoing skills development
Self-management
Requirements
Required Minimum Qualifications
Grade 12
Basic HIV knowledge
Basic knowledge on Adherence Guidelines
Basic counselling Skills
Desirable Experience
2 years’ experience in counselling
Experience in working in an ART adherence support programme.
Experience in compiling statistics and narrative report in collaboration with other facility staff
Experience with adolescent programmes
