Our client, a reputable accounting firm based in Moreleta Park, Pretoria, is currently seeking motivated and career-driven Accountant to join their professional team from Rustenburg. Minimum Requirements
- Currently studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, coupled with at least 2 years’ relevant accounting experience
OR - Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with completed SAICA / SAIPA articles (or equivalent)
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience working on accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar systems will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports
- Performing reconciliations including bank, debtor, and creditor accounts
- Maintaining accurate general ledger records
- Assisting with VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions
- Supporting audit preparations and liaising with auditors where necessary
- Processing invoices, receipts, and payments
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Providing general accounting and administrative support as required
