Job Description
This is a hands‑on accounting role where you’ll play a key part in supporting the day‑to‑day finance operations of a fast‑growing global cybersecurity business. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting billing and collections, and assisting with month‑end close and reporting activities.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team, while also partnering with operational stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy across a dynamic, subscription‑based environment.

This role is hybrid, with 3 days a week in our office in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities
- Processing daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, billing, credit notes, and reconciliations
- Supporting customer invoicing and recurring subscription/service billing
- Managing debtor relationships, issuing statements, and following up on overdue accounts
- Performing bank, credit card, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting month‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
- Assisting in preparing monthly financial reports, including P&L and variance analysis
- Maintaining audit‑ready documentation and supporting financial controls
- Tracking expenses across software, cloud, and vendor contracts
- Supporting payroll administration and statutory submissions
- Assisting with SaaS and managed services billing, including revenue tracking (MRR/ARR) and renewals
- Contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes as the business scales

Essential Skills
- Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance
- 3–4 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and basic IFRS knowledge
- Experience with accounting systems (e.g. NetSuite, Xero, or similar ERP)
- Strong Excel and general systems skills
- Experience in IT services, SaaS, MSP/MSSP, or subscription‑based environments is advantageous
- Understanding of VAT and tax processes is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Exposure to multi‑currency environments and intercompany accounting
- Industry experience in an MSSP, MSP, Telecommunication or IT business.
