Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in a full-time hybrid role based in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. This role offers flexibility to work remotely while remaining closely connected to our team and clients.
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including:
- Preparing financial statements
- Maintaining accurate accounting records
- Managing tax compliance and submissions
- Processing transactions and reconciling accounts
- Analysing financial performance
- Supporting client financial decision-making
- Providing professional, tailored support to clients
Minimum Requirements (Compulsory)
- Completed articles OR proven experience within a SAIPA/SAICA-accredited firm
- Strong knowledge of South African tax regulations and accounting standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency in financial reporting and tax compliance
- Strong bookkeeping, reconciliation, and general ledger skills
- Experience with accounting software and advanced spreadsheet use
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- SAIPA/SAICA accreditation (advantageous)
- Experience in business advisory is beneficial
