The Opportunity
We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Accountant to take ownership of the finance function across SKEG's operating entities.
Reporting directly to the executive team, you will manage the full accounting cycle, payroll administration, statutory compliance and management reporting. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working close to the business, partnering with operational teams and contributing to sound commercial decision-making.
About You
- BCom Accounting (or equivalent)
- 3–5 years' accounting experience, preferably in an SME environment
- Strong Sage Evolution and Pastel Payroll experience
- Sound understanding of VAT, PAYE, UIF, COIDA and provisional tax
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and commercially minded
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Preparing management accounts, financial reports and annual financial statements
- Managing debtors, creditors, cash flow and financial controls
- Processing payroll and maintaining employee payroll records
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and tax obligations
- Supporting financial planning, operational reporting and business decision-making
- Assisting with selected HR administration and employee records
