Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated A-Level Automotive Technician / Shop Foreman to lead our automotive service team. This dynamic role combines advanced technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that vehicle repairs and maintenance are performed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in automotive diagnostics, engine repair, and vehicle systems, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a key member of our workshop, you will oversee daily operations, mentor junior technicians, and uphold safety and quality standards across all service activities.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex vehicle issues using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret wiring diagrams to identify root causes efficiently.
- Perform comprehensive repairs on automotive engine systems, including powertrain components, diesel engines (seldom), and electrical systems.
- Lead the team in executing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake services, and vehicle inspections.
- Oversee the repair and replacement of mechanical parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot automotive wiring diagrams and electrical systems accurately.
- Manage workflow within the shop by assigning tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion of repairs while maintaining high quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each vehicle serviced.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
- Mentor junior technicians by sharing technical knowledge on automotive engine technology, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and other vehicle systems.
Requirements
- Proven shop experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive engine systems, including powertrain components and diesel engine repair (seldom).
- Proficiency in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams and schematics for electrical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostic tools and software to identify issues efficiently.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and wiring diagrams interpretation.
- Excellent leadership skills with prior experience managing a team or leading shop operations as a foreman or senior technician.
- Valid PA State Inspection and Emissions License is a requirement.

Pay: $38.00 – $48.00 per hour
