3rd Line Network Support Engineer (Wireless ISP Experience Required)
Remote (South Africa-based)|Seasonal Role (March – November) with Option for Contract-Perm
Salary:R45 000 PM
Hours:March – October: 12hr shifts, 4 on/4 off, 8am – 8pm. Off-season: project work & maintenance.
The Role
We are looking for an experiencedWireless ISP Network Engineerto join our support team, ensuring the stability and performance of customer networks. You will handle3rd line support, troubleshootWi-Fi, PtP, and WAN networks, monitor performance, and ensure uptime.
During the off-season, you will focus onnetwork upgrades, maintenance, and assisting field engineersin improving network infrastructure. If you’re passionate aboutcutting-edge wireless technologyand thrive in afast-pacedsupport environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Support & troubleshootwired and wireless networks(WAN, LAN, WLAN, PtP, PtMP).
Diagnose & resolvecustomer connectivity issues(RADIUS, billing, authentication).
Configure & maintainguest access portals, authentication services, and network monitoring.
Identify & resolverecurring network issues, improving performance & stability.
Work onWi-Fi network design, installations, structured cabling, and radio links.
Act asescalation pointfor site operator issues & major network incidents.
Mentor junior engineersand collaborate with field teams.
Provideon-call supportas needed.
What You Need
5+ years’ experiencein aWireless ISPorMSPnetwork support environment.
Strong expertise inWi-Fi, PtP/PtMP radio links, structured cabling, and network architecture.
Hands-on experiencewithCambium, Ubiquiti, Mikrotik, and Draytek.
Strong knowledge ofIP networking, routing, VPNs, and subnetting.
Experience withWi-Fi surveys & network monitoring tools(PRTG, NMS, The Dude, etc.).
Relevant certifications preferred (CWNA, CCNA, Network+, Ekahau Designor similar).
Good skills inExcel & automationfor reporting and troubleshooting.
