Full Job Description
As a Second Line Engineer, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to resolve complex IT issues. You will work closely with first-line support teams and end-users to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Incident Management:
Receive and triage escalated IT incidents.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Implement effective solutions to resolve incidents promptly.
Problem Management:
Identify and analyze recurring incidents to determine root causes.
Implement preventive measures to minimize future occurrences.
System Administration:
Monitor and maintain system health and performance.
Configure and deploy system updates and patches.
Troubleshoot system failures and performance issues.
User Support:
Provide advanced technical support to end-users.
Assist with user account management and access control.
Train and educate users on IT systems and best practices.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
Create knowledge base articles to share information with the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage).
Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL).
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA).
