Key Responsibilities:
– Assist the Chief Electrical Engineer in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems On Board Cruise Ship
– Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that may arise during the voyage
– Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all electrical equipment and systems
– Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
– Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
– Train and supervise junior electrical engineers and crew members
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks
– Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to respond to any emergency situations
– Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical engineering
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
– Minimum of 3 years of experience as a 2nd Electrical Engineer
– Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems and equipment
– Familiarity with international regulations and standards for marine electrical systems
– Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
– Strong communication and leadership skills
– Valid STCW certification and other required maritime certifications
– Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
